This position is located in the Division of Hydropower Administration & Compliance, Office of Energy Projects, in Washington, DC.

GS-12: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying environmental laws and preparing documents (including but not limited to Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements pursuant to NEPA or other laws or regulations, study plans or reports, or research papers) that assess the effects of existing or proposed infrastructure (to include but not limited to hydropower projects, dams, levees, surface water intakes, canals, flumes, water and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater retention and control, constructed wetlands, roads, pipelines, airports, solar arrays, windfarms, fossil fueled generating plants, nuclear plants, commercial fisheries, agriculture, and aquaculture).
GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying environmental laws and preparing documents (such as Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements, study plans or reports, or research papers) that assess the effects of existing or proposed infrastructure (examples may include, but are not limited to: hydropower projects, dams, levees, surface water intakes, canals, flumes, water and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater retention and control, constructed wetlands, commercial fisheries, agriculture, or aquaculture, natural gas pipelines, storage projects, LNG projects, roads, pipelines, airports, solar arrays, windfarms, fossil-fueled generating plants, or nuclear plants).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
